Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Bolgatanga & Navrongo Exploration

  • Arrival by road from Accra
  • Check-in at hotel
  • Afternoon: Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Basilica in Navrongo : Ghana’s oldest mud-built cathedral, decorated with traditional and Christian symbolism. Peaceful and awe-inspiring.
  • Overnight stay: Bolgatanga

Day 2 – Paga Traditions & Slave History

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Morning visit to Paga Crocodile Pond : Interact with sacred crocodiles that live peacefully with humans sit, touch, or take photos guided by caretakers.
  • Continue to Pikworo Slave Camp : Walk through stone-carved bowls, punishment rock, and listen to haunting stories of resistance and endurance.
  • Drive to Burkina Faso border point : Snap a photo straddling two countries! Bring passport for entry if desired.
  • Overnight stay: Bolgatanga

Day 3 – Tongo Hills & Shrines Adventure

  • Early breakfast
  • Travel to Tongo Hills & Tengzug Shrine : Climb dramatic rock formations, visit a sacred shrine guided by locals, and enjoy panoramic savannah views.
  • Learn about Talensi customs, spiritual practices, and sacred caves

Day 4 – Bolgatanga museum & Departure
